Talk about a math skill that you learned in your elementary school.

Mathematics is a very important academics subject. I started learning mathematics in my elementary school from the basic skill of counting, subtraction, addition and multiplication followed by advance skill like trigonometry and geometry.

Here, I would like to talk about counting. Our teacher used to teach us this skill by making dots and asking us to count them. Sometimes we were taught to count on our fingertips. Sometimes we were shown pictures of objects and we had to count them.

Counting is very useful in our day-to-day life. Knowingly or unknowingly we use this skill for measurements and buying and selling, we need to count while using money and other things.

Even we use this skill while working in the kitchen like whenever we make coffee and tea we have to count the tablespoon of sugar and tea leaves.

Counting is the base of all other math skills like addition, subtraction and multiplication without this basic skill life is unimaginable.

In addition, Mrs. Yashika was my math teacher in primary school. She was very creative in teaching us the subject. I  can still remember that we often had activities in which we could have actual experiences to show our skills in numbers. She used to be my favorite teacher. I can say that this skill is very important in modern life.
